I would like to start making more and better use of this site - what do you think? post a message and let me know.
2009 has been a strange year - finding work and income, for example has been very hard.
It's one thing to look at this list of qualifications below, (previous post = CV), and say "ok", "well experienced, plenty of coverage, lets give him a go" ... but here in France no-one does!
It's for that that I picture the orchard - the trees, the fruit, the juice ... it never answers back in the negative, but at the same time for all the hard work and expense it demands - never pays back much more than coppers. People, it seems, would rather shop for naff produce in the naff supermarkets than support the needy artisan who produces reasonably priced, qualitive, organic, (Bio), produce. Let 2010 be better.

yes we agree, it can be very hard being a "professional" foreigner in France - stick with private work if you can stomach it

Not much better for farmers either. ~I can only hope 2010 will be better.

I'd love to teach in France... any thoughts regarding your experience applying etc. are appreciated!

Teaching here for me has been difficult - in the system that is - I'm not French and principally teaching in France is a civil-service 'posting' - the next problem is to have any 'foreign' qualifications recognised - well they ain't French are they so they must be no good! The result thus being that whilst experience will count, without an attached qualification they are going to offer assistantships at minimum wage - I'm a professional - I don't play that game and I don't scab on other colleagues.
